About Michael Bailey

Michael Bailey is a multi-disciplinary visual artist whose work is informed by a decades-long career in the performing arts. A graduate of the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, Bailey spent years navigating the nuances of character and narrative in film, television, and theater.

His transition into visual arts began with a formal apprenticeship in stained glass, sparking a technical expansion into woodworking, resin casting, and photography. By pivoting from the "medium of the self" to the "medium of the hand," Bailey creates tactile works that bridge his East Coast roots with a contemporary, exploratory aesthetic.
